The Contra Costa Police Athletic Association was formed in 1995
to provide athletic, educational, and social programs for youth in
Contra Costa County. Our aim is to help counter drugs, gangs, violence, and juvenile
delinquency. We are an all-volunteer organization made up mostly of active
and retired law enforcement officers from federal, state, and local levels, who
live and/or work in Contra Costa County.
Examples of our efforts to date include:
Capital donations to the Montalvin Manor Soccer field, the "Field of Dreams"
baseball field at the Byron Boys Ranch, the Pleasant Hill Middle School swimming pool
project, and the "Raise A Gym" project in Clayton.
Donation of 6 Southwest Airlines tickets to the Make-A-Wish foundation to send two children
with Leukemia, and their families, to Disneyland.
